Library Books in our Elementary Schools

Well well well, started doing some library book research in my daughters school. Wasn’t sure how I was going to access all the book titles, but I thought I’d start somewhere.

I found a website where my schools librarian is in their database, typed in LGTBQ, just thought I’d start there. And wow.

The books that came up. Now, as of now, I don’t know who all has access to these books, I’m assuming 1st-6th. I can’t even imagine what kind of books the middle and high school have. It makes my stomach sick thinking about it. Detailed lgtbq genre books about either teens experimenting, feeling different, feeling curious, or their parents are now gay Are all descriptions in the books, for I do not have access to the actual material (right now)

In the librarians defense, they want to have all kids have access to all different tastes. So we accept all sorts of topics into our children's schools. Into their hands, eyes and now brain and heart. What’s next? Detailed sex scenes, well yes actually those aren’t too far behind. All in the name of acceptance. We no longer use moral discernment.

if you ask me, these topics need to stay out of school. Period. Of course, I’m a Christian, so I believe we need to repent from our sinful tendencies, our sinful urges, and stay away. but instead these books inside are schools are teaching kids that these topics are safe, it’s accepted and sometimes even get recognition for being interested.

Here are just 3 books I came across on the topic of LGTBQ at one elementary at Grandville I don’t feel comfortable that my kids have access to books. Do you???
